Do I need to bring / Do you supply mosquito nets?
The tents are effectively large mosquito nets in themselves as their windows are made from mosquito netting, so you don’t need to bring one with you. Do bring some mosquito repellent though as you will need it when you are out at night.

What clothes should I wear?
Goa is very used to westerners and their dress, or lack of it, so you are fine with standard holiday-wear in most places. Obviously if you want to visit a temple or a church, you will need to cover your shoulders and legs out of respect. If you are planning on travelling outside Goa, or go off the beaten track, you will feel more comfortable with more cover as bare skin tends to attract a lot of attention.

If you are planning to ride a scooter then more substantial clothes are sensible. We advise guests to wear helmets at all times.

During December and January, the evenings can be quite cool, so bring something warm. You will find that you have to slip your shoes on and off as it is considered good manners to remove your shoes before entering someone’s home, an enclosed area or a temple.

Can I use my hairdryer?
There is nowhere for you to plug in appliances in the tents. Why not try and go ‘au natural’ for your holiday?

I am worried about the eco-toilet, is it difficult to use?
Not at all! The eco-toilets are like standard squat toilets but with two compartments - one for liquids, one for solids. You need to aim well, rinse down the front portion with water, then spray with natural, organic EM (effective micro-organisms), which immediately starts the composting process. After that, just cover your deposit with woodchips and spray again. You will soon get the hang of it … and it doesn’t smell!
